Range
Chatanika (Old F.E.) Gold Camp
$10.00
Re-entry Shoot
The
winner will receive a gold nugget worth at least $250.00!
Proceeds
will be donated to a local charity
(Past recipients have been Meals-on-Wheels, the Fairbanks Rescue
Mission, Santa's Clearinghouse, Love, Inc., and the Fairbanks
Breast Cancer Detection Center)
Contestants
will shoot pistol-caliber rifles at a very large blind target
made of several cardboard layers, with their specific shot marked.
Shooters may re-enter the contest, if they wish, by paying the
$10 entry fee each time. When the target is opened up to reveal
the designated "spot," the shooter with the nearest
hole wins the gold nugget. The target will be opened at the banquet
that evening; shooters do not need to be present to win. The gold
nugget will be delivered to the winner.
Everyone who hits the cardboard has an equal chance of winning;
there is no need for "bull's-eye" accuracy. If you want
to enter the contest--but don't have a pistol-caliber rifle, someone
will be glad to loan you one and a cartridge to go with it!
Eye and Ear Protection Required
Entry fees are not eligible deductions for federal income tax
purposes
